Welcome to SynergEyes iD Hybrid Lenses!

SynergEyes iD hybrid lenses are individually designed just for you
to provide you with exceptional vision and comfort.

Your new hybrid lenses combine two types of materials into one unique lens. The center is made of rigid
material to give you clear and stable vision, while the soft skirt keeps the lenses comfortable throughout the day. Both parts of your SynergEyes iD lenses are personalized for you based on the shape and vision requirements of your unique eyes.

Set yourself up for success by utilizing these tips to help you become an expert in the process of applying and removing your lenses, prior to receiving your lenses from your eye care practitioner. Then you'll be ready to enjoy the vision and comfort of your new lenses right away.

Before You Start

  • Expect a brief period of adaptation to become fully accustomed to the lenses. Your eye care professional will explain expectations and wear time information so that you may enjoy unparalleled vision and comfort with SynergEyes iD contact lenses.
  • Relax! Applying and removing may feel strange at first, but once you practice a few times, it will be like second nature.
  • Anytime you’re handling your contact lenses it’s important to wash your hands with a soap that is free of oils or lotions and dry your hands with a lint-free towel.
  • Check to ensure lens is clean and damage-free.
  • Be sure to handle your contacts in the same order each day to avoid mixing up the right and left lenses.
  • Avoid using oil-based cosmetics, hand soaps, or lotions. Oil-based products can permanently damage the surface of your contact lenses.

SynergEyes iD Application

How to Apply Your Lenses

There is more than one way to apply your lenses. We recommend you pick the method that works best for you.

1. Place the lens on the tip of one finger or nestled between two fingers. A drop of preservative-free lubricant or saline can be added to the bowl if desired.

2. Either keep head upright or lean forward and tilt your head parallel to the counter. (Sometimes it's helpful to place a mirror flat on the counter to look into as you insert the lens.)

3. Pull upon your upper lid with one hand by placing the fingers at the base of the lashes. Pull down on lower lid using a finger on the hand holding the lens.

4. Gently place the lens on your eye. Slowly release each eyelid separately and blink several times.

How to Remove Your Lenses

SynergEyes iD lenses do not bend in the middle, so they need to be removed with a narrow pinch at the 5 and 7 o’clock position, like picking a piece of lint off your clothing.

"Tissue Trainer" Method

TissueBox

For new hybrid wearers we recommend starting with removing your lenses with a tissue. The tissue should make removing these moist lenses easy, and can always be used as a "back-up" removal method if needed.

Place the tissue over your forefinger and thumb.

Using a narrow pinch, with the fingertips at the 5 and 7 o'clock positions on the lens, and apply slight pressure.

Wait for a "1, 2" count and then roll fingertips together and back toward the palm of the hand to remove lens.

Dry Finger "Pinch" Method

Using one hand, pull upper lid back.

Using your finger on the opposite hand, pull down lower lid gently.

Place very dry fingertips at the 5 and 7 o'clock positions on the lens and apply slight pressure; wait for “1, 2” count and roll fingertips together and back toward palm of hand to remove lens.

Fingers need to be dried with a towel between each removal attempt. Rubbing fingers together until heat is felt from the friction will also ensure are completely dry.

Additional Removal Tips

TIP 1. As a general rule, contact lenses are the wettest when they are first inserted in the eye; therefore, this is when they may be the most challenging to remove. Lenses that have been "on eye" for five minutes or more generally have fewer tears covering the lens surface and are easier to remove.

TIP 2. Tangible® Hydra-PEG coating: This coating is designed to create a more lubricious and wettable lens surface to contribute to increased comfort. The more "slippery" lens surface may also initially make Tangible Hydra-PEG-coated lenses more challenging to remove but with a little practice, you should quickly adjust to your new lenses.

Practice Makes Perfect

Once you receive your lenses in your eye care professional's office, you may want to practice the "removal technique" with the lens on your knuckle, to get familiar with the lens, and where to "pinch" for simple removal. With a little practice, you'll quickly get the hang of the lens removal, and be on your way to experiencing the clarity and comfort of your SynergEyes iD lenses.

Lens Handling & Care

Be Sure to Clean Your SynergEyes Lenses Daily. Cleaning and rinsing lenses is necessary to remove mucus and film from the lens surface. Disinfection is necessary to destroy harmful germs and bacteria.

Avoid using oil-based cosmetics as they will permanently damage the surface of your SynergEyes lenses.

2.  With the pad of your ring finger, gently rub the entire lens in a circular motion against the palm of your hand. Be sure to thoroughly clean the front and back of the lens and then rinse it well with saline.

3.  Store your lenses in either a hydrogen peroxide system OR multi-purpose disinfecting solution, as recommended by your eye care professional.

  • • Disinfected lenses should remain in a closed case until ready to wear.
  • • Repeat disinfection every 24 hours as recommended on the solution packaging.
  • • Completely replace solution in lens case with fresh solution daily. Never top off solution in lens case.
  • • Replace lens case at regular intervals as recommended by your eye care professional.

Lens Care Solutions:

Disinfection Systems: Use chemical (not heat) disinfection systems (Multi-Purpose or Hydrogen Peroxide* solutions) approved for soft contact lenses, as recommended by your eye care professional.

Daily Cleaner: The standard of care for contact lenses recommends using a daily cleaner approved for soft contact lenses.

Rewetting Drops: If needed, use rewetting drops approved for soft contact lenses, as directed by your eye care practitioner.

If lenses have Tangible® Hydra-PEG coating, alcohol-based or abrasive solutions should be avoided.

The recommended replacement schedule for SynergEyes Hybrid Lenses is every six months.

It is important that you always follow your eye care professional’s instructions. Based on your individual needs, your eye care professional may recommend a different replacement schedule.

*In some patients the tear chemistry may react with the hydrogen peroxide to cause a permanent white ring at the junction of the rigid center and soft skirt. This ring does not affect vision or comfort.
